That’s a lot of experience and updates the M1X can offer. It should also support increased storage and memory (even though you won’t be able to expand this post-sale). With a year of public feedback in the software, and any required changes in the chip design already fed back, it’s clear that the presumptively named M1X is going to offer far more performance. Yet the M1 system chip will always be the first generation product, and the slowest Apple Silicon in any MacBook Pro.
